Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Message Board  

Try uninstall and deleted the entire game data folder>C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion and all files in those folders. Re-install the game and nothing else, no patches, no mods, no dlc and see if it will run for you at all.

It ran and the problem turned out to be in the archive invalidation file, I was invalidating the BSAs instead of replacing them, appreciate all your help though, you got me right to the end it just took some troubleshooting to figure out the problem.
