Well, I've taken over the kerghits while being a rebel... What now? I want vassals, and to be able to make aliances... Maybe name my faction differently (Kerghit Kanate Rebels is what it's now called... >.< )Please Help?

For the renaming or vassals? Because...Now it seems handier to become marshal of a kingdom than make one yourself

Well first of all, getting vassals is easy and doesn't require any modding. To do so, you have to have territory that you own but don't require. For example you have 1 town and 2 castles. You can claim the town for yourself but can recruit two lords and give a castle to each of them. To do so, you have to have good standing with many lords as you never know which one. Go up to many and there should be a option with one of them where you can start a conversation proposing them land in exchange for vassalage. This is where good relations come in and they have positive relations with you, they will most likely accept.

In various mods there are more additions like capturing lords and proposing vassalage for freedom, etc. However that doesn't work with native I don't believe. Also if you got fantastic relations with a factions lords and that faction is defeated. Those lords will switch over to you. Depending on how high of relations you have with the individual lords.

As for faction renaming, that will either require knowledge of editing files in M&B or finding a mod that allows it. The only one I know of is Native Expansion. However it only gives it the name of the player with the addition of Kingdom of before it. So you can rename yourself for example Swadia Rebels and the Kingdom will be called Kingdom of Swadia Rebels. I think you can also possibly change your name back and the Kingdom name will stick so long as you don't enter that settings page again. Atleast I believe so, haven't really tested it out yet.
