Okay, I've been hunting around the internet for about 20 minutes now, looking for information on the Allied Supply Crates that have appeared in my camp after getting envoys from the races I've got to join my army.
I know donating gold to the knights, etc. gives me exp, but does it actually improve their armour or something during the battles? I don't really wanna waste all my money and runes for some exp. Can someone shed light on this?

It's only for giving XP. There is no indication it has affected the game in any other way. I was curious about this as well and did a search and i've found no information that it was anything besides an alternative XP route if you have excess goods.

All right, cheers. Shame really. I liked finding those ore veins in NWN2 and seeing the soldiers' armour and weapons improve. Bioware missed a trick on this one! oh well.

Bioware didn't make NWN2 so they didn't know about it. Perhaps with enough forum suggestions on their website they might release future DLC involving Allied Crates!

What about templars? Or do they share the same as the Mages?
And Arl Eamon's crate takes 30G as well. Prima have been known to include false information in their guides...
