Create a shortcut to daorigins.exe (should be located in gamefolder\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe)
If you use the shortcut that create by the gmae, it is target to DAOriginsLauncher.exe which is hwy the console isn't working.

if you're adding it to the shortcut that the game installed then it's the wrong shortcut, you have to go to the game directories, look for daorigin.exe and make a shortcut of that file and edit that shortcut.

DAOriginsLauncher.exe =\= daorigins.exe
The deskstop short cut created by game is target at DAOriginsLauncher.exe while the enable console commend has to be put behind daorigins.exe
I .assume the game is install in C:\Games\Dragon Age\ than go to "C:\Games\Dragon Age\bin_ship\ and find daorigins.exe. Right click daorigins.exe and choose create a short cut. Cut and paste the newly created shortcut on deskstop and edit shortcut to put -enabledeveloperconsole behind daorigins.exe
