There is no 'best plane' for the job really, but you're not supposed to chase him. Eventually, Pixy will head off and then return to you, head to head. That's the only time you can hit him.
ty lol but i put down the wrong difficulty im on expert, but, while im fighting him we start head-to-head so i get to hits right away then he goes up and comes down then comes at you then i got him twice which is 4 times then he never turns around 4 me to hit him so im going crazy cause ive been trying to beat him for 2 days lol

Fly away from him and when he turns to come around for you, thats when you want to turn towards him....just don't get hit by his missiles....they hurt
