All new corvettes are made of plastic. And they use LEAF SPRINGS, for crying out loud. Leaf springs were invented several hundred years ago.
Time to go back to school kid.

It looks like GM is smarter than you. Guess what, electricity is also really old but it sure is nice to have.

1. You're not supposed to post here unless you're a member.
2. The leaf spring dates from medieval times, no amount of refinement can make it seem modern.
1. If I'm not supposed to post here why can I post here.
2. You need do some reading. The independent double wishbone suspension supported by fiberglass cantilevered springs on the Corvette dates back to 1984. It happens to be the newest spring design used on any road car. Steal springs and air springs are all older by at least 100 years.

As I said, a refinement of a design does not make the design modern.
If I take a wheelbarrow and add mechanical brakes on it on it so it doesn't go out of control going down hills, it's not a new wheelbarrow. It's a refinement of a wheelbarrow.
