Is there a complete list of everything this fixes? I downloaded all of the gameplay fixes that the Restoration Project used to have up on their website (they took them down in anticipation of releasing the entire Restoration mod - a bit premature) and I don't want any conflicts.

Otherwise, thanks for providing a fix to a very broken game.

I’m not able to give you a detailed reply at this moment, running out of time, sorry. I’ll try to make it brief: I did not provide the entire list of fixes because it is a) very long b) you wouldn’t understand much from it – most of the time I just made references without descriptions. However, if you would like to familiarize yourself with all the fixes in the patch (almost – some minor ones I haven’t mentioned in the readme) – the list of all the fixes and updates will be shown to you prior to the installation. Right in the installer’s window. A copy of it will also be put into your game directory after the installation.
About fixes – yeah, I remember RP had some fixes on their webpage, I saw. Although this was 4 or 5. My patch fixes 80+ (mentioned and not mentioned ones) and it makes the entire game a high-resolution one, with all the restored effects. I also haven’t felt the need to post the readme because all (yes – all) the known critical and minor bugs have been fixed in this patch. Sure, there are probably a few minor ones remaining somewhere, but I haven’t really noticed any. All the major stuff I have already mentioned in the description: dialogue-voice line fixes, all the broken quests fixed, high-resolution for the game, etc. Just download and play. Words can’t really describe it.
Oh and – yeah, my patch will conflict with the mods that replace appearance.2da file (if you use mods, you likely know what I’m talking about). Sorry. It was the only way of installation.
When RP comes out, I will see about making my patch compatible with it, because much stuff I have fixed was not (and won’t be) fixed not by standalone modifications, not by RP. Especially the textures.

"Otherwise, thanks for providing a fix to a very broken game."

My patch isn't really a "fix". It is a patch that utterly fixes all the major (and many minor) bugs/effects/textures/sounds/etc in this game and makes it quite a final version instead of a "beta" it was released as. That was my aim from the beginning - to make the game "final".
And I specifically note that in this patch nothing was changed or altered. Only fixes or improvements to the existing resources. That's why I call it a patch, not a mod.

Well, I just suggest you play and see for yourself. It is compatible with the savegames, but better to play from the beginning.

Thanks for the information. I'll try this on a fresh install in the immediate future.

I think at least one screenshot is nesessary. Posting more isn't required because everything else is made in the same manner. But I'll probably make more screenshots.

Metal floor (what it was supposed to be) on Peragus looks exceptionally juicy. I'd make whole game like that, but then it'd shine like a X-mas tree. This is just for you to get an idea of how stuff looks like now. Notice here that the planet texture used in the original first screenshot was a wrong one; Nar Shaddaa (the planet on the screen) should look just like on my screen. So that's been fixed. What you can also see here is a better resolution for Ebon Hawk and restored effects.
So that goes throughout the entire game.

    -----------------------

I think I should also mention that patch has been in development for approximately 1,5 years and a team of beta testers have playd it through many times. All the bugs reported have been fixed, and the patch does not add any bugs into the game, not one.

    Hi singlerose:

Many thanks for posting this, the old (older) games are often still the best and the continued support by the modding communities enables them to still be enjoyed long after the dust has settled on the covers. Your time and assistance in providing the patch is greatly appreciated. Time to reload the old girl and give her another whirl - great games both one and two. Thanks.
    To infinity and beyond...

This patch is brilliant. Every KOTOR fan should get this ASAP.

One question: you mentioned that the Redemption Quest has been fixed. Because it never worked, I'm still not sure on how to actually complete this one - is it necessary to confront Tarn (mechanic at Dantooine spaceport) with the lightsaber to progress? That used to change the quest status, but because it was impossible to complete this quest before it was never clear if this was an important step or not.

I will say exactly what Team Gizka (Restoration Project) says on this topic: the goal is not to restore this quest, because nobody knows what should have originally been; the goal is to make it finishable. When I have looked into the journal entries, I have noticed that this quest is tied to the main Dantooine quest, and the quest entry will depend on how you have resolved the situation on Dantooine. So basically, when you finish Dantooine, it gets completed. Not I, not anyone else can restore this quest fully - nobody knows what it was supposed to be in original.
So basically all I did is made it finishable. This is the same as RP does.

I'd like to make a note here. KOTOR II: TSL has terrible problem loading scripts. Which sometimes leads to random bugs like:

-HK on Peragus sometimes becomes invincible
    -Main hero sometimes becomes invincible
    -Missing/corrupted quest entries
    -Game freezes
    -Corrupted quests and saved games

These are the most common bugs. These bugs DO NOT happen because of the patch. The patch has been tested through many times by many different people. These bugs happen because sometimes, during content loading, scripts either don't load, or load with errors. I've no idea why does it happen. likely something either with the game's engine, or bad optimization.
Just making sure you know that such bugs are not being triggered by the patch. For me specifically - I've never had these bugs, not once. But I know that many people do in both games (KOTOR and TSL). Maybe it depends on hardware configuration. Sometimes reloading previous save game (from a previous area) helps, sometimes it doesn't. Some script loading errors corrupt the game entirely, and only way is to start a new game.
These bugs are random and there is no way to fix them. Sorry.
