I’m not able to give you a detailed reply at this moment, running out of time, sorry. I’ll try to make it brief: I did not provide the entire list of fixes because it is a) very long b) you wouldn’t understand much from it – most of the time I just made references without descriptions. However, if you would like to familiarize yourself with all the fixes in the patch (almost – some minor ones I haven’t mentioned in the readme) – the list of all the fixes and updates will be shown to you prior to the installation. Right in the installer’s window. A copy of it will also be put into your game directory after the installation.
About fixes – yeah, I remember RP had some fixes on their webpage, I saw. Although this was 4 or 5. My patch fixes 80+ (mentioned and not mentioned ones) and it makes the entire game a high-resolution one, with all the restored effects. I also haven’t felt the need to post the readme because all (yes – all) the known critical and minor bugs have been fixed in this patch. Sure, there are probably a few minor ones remaining somewhere, but I haven’t really noticed any. All the major stuff I have already mentioned in the description: dialogue-voice line fixes, all the broken quests fixed, high-resolution for the game, etc. Just download and play. Words can’t really describe it.
Oh and – yeah, my patch will conflict with the mods that replace appearance.2da file (if you use mods, you likely know what I’m talking about). Sorry. It was the only way of installation.
When RP comes out, I will see about making my patch compatible with it, because much stuff I have fixed was not (and won’t be) fixed not by standalone modifications, not by RP. Especially the textures.
"Otherwise, thanks for providing a fix to a very broken game."
My patch isn't really a "fix". It is a patch that utterly fixes all the major (and many minor) bugs/effects/textures/sounds/etc in this game and makes it quite a final version instead of a "beta" it was released as. That was my aim from the beginning - to make the game "final".
And I specifically note that in this patch nothing was changed or altered. Only fixes or improvements to the existing resources. That's why I call it a patch, not a mod.
Well, I just suggest you play and see for yourself. It is compatible with the savegames, but better to play from the beginning.
