Apparently you need to make sure that you do not belong to any faction. Then you need to rob the caravan's and village's of the faction you wish to conquer. After you've robbed a couple of village's / caravans you are then given the option to loot and burn a village to the ground. Once you've done that march up to a nearby town or castle of that faction and if you have enough troops (I recomend at least a 100) you will be given the option to besiege the castle/town. If you win you get that town or castle and all villages close to it. Also a new faction aries with you as it's ruler. You can then proceed to conquer the map and rule with an iron fist or a kind heart.

I played few months ago this game.
I was a Lord in Kingdom of Vaegirs. I owned 2 castles and 3 villages (one I got when I joined) and a town(Praven). I spoke to King Yaroglek and wanted to be released from my oath. I lost all my fiefs And I also lost 20 points from how much he likes me.

So, you will LOSE all fiefs you have if you are released from oath to the king.

You DO NOT have to rob villages to take a castle. Infact you are making it worse by doing that. All you have to do is pick a castle that nobody else is attacking and take it by yourself. Which you need a bigger army to do so or atleast have really good units like knights. If somebody else is assisting you they will always take the castle for themselves. Idk why it does it but it just does.

You do not need to rob villages in order to take castles or settlements. I have taken over all of Nord territories by myself (before I joined a faction) and got to manage all those lands. I eventually joined with Swadia and they let me keep all my Nord lands but of course anything I took for them I couldn't have for myself because I had too much land already.

Looting villages only further ruins your reputation with those villages. Not only that but makes them unusable for a brief period. Unusable = no tax's.

If you do not have a castle already and belong to a faction in the game. Once you take a castle by yourself you can click You want the castle and the news of you taking the castle and the fact you want it as a prize of doing so will be given to the king of the faction you are with and he will choose if you can have it or not. Basicly he chooses based on spreading the territories fairly between Lords. You being somebody who doesn't have a castle would garantee to have it.

However if you want a lot of territory (more money). I suggest you take land and do your whole thing solo before you attempt to join with a faction. It means never ending attacks from whoever wants to mess with you because you aren't protected by a faction but worth it in the end.

How did you get a Army of 800+ Diddn't think that number was possible in the game due to how much various things are needed just to get even 300 max. Like your leadership skill maxed out, etc. However I can't even max out my troop numbers because if I ever dare go past 150 it effects my party morale too much and it decreases to a point where they just leave the party. Wasted gold, wasted training.

You got any secrets or is it a cheat you use that effects party morale and upgrades army size?
