Just to get a few things out that many people that get M&B from Steam dont know about.
1st and foremost, when you get the game off steam, after you install it and run it, your CDKey will(should) show up in a dialog and will continue to do so afterwords unless you click the box saying not to.
Second of all. The Latest patch for M&B is 1.11, Steam gives you 1.10 install and does not have the latest patch available. And because its Steam the patch does not recognize the game being installed, thus unable to patch.
Thirdly. Steam does not allow or have the ability for Mods/Modules that the original CD/Download game lets you do, nor do any trainers work on the steam version, not that you need any since there are in-game cheats.
And Last yet more important. You can download the full game Here taleworlds.net/mb_download.html Because you have the bought version from Steam in your registry you will be able to play the download version and your CDKey will work with it, and that download Is the full version demo(Unlocked to Full with CD-Key/Bought Steam version). Plus, because its the real game version, Not steam, you will be able to do everything i previously mentioned, being able to use Mods/Modules etc being the most important.
Hope this helps anyone that may have questions and or problems.
Trainer crashes for me also after pressing an option key. Full download game(not Steam) XP SP3(Will never use Vista)
Since there are in-game cheats guys just use those, even though Inf stat and ability points would be EXTREMELY nice.
Btw, this is what i get when the trainer causes the game to crash.
