I renamed the .cat file and rebooted. Now it says that the trainer can not find the game. I'm running vista and I have a steam version of the game, it's from skullptura. the trainer activated before I renamed this file, now it won't.

It seems to crash my game when I activate super weapons and perfect condition, I have the retail version.

I've got this as well. I'm on XP and Vista x64 and get the same issue. I renamed fallout3.exe.cat to .cat_bak but it's still crashing almost straight away. when the game crashes and I alt + tab back in it just hangs and I have to use task manager to close it.

I believe most of the time trainers give either a larger amount of options to choose from or it is just far far easier to press a key as opposed to do it manually.

btw - I think most of you who are not seeing Fallout3.exe.cat have file extensions turned off. File extensions being turned off means you would see Fallout3 (for Fallout3.exe) and Fallout3.exe (for Fallout3.exe.cat). Its a bad setting, a very bad and dumb setting that microsoft made the default

The fallout3.exe.cat file should look like this.Link And I use the trainer because there's no cheat for unlimited ammo or no reload. The reloading animation annoys me because he puts the magazine in, then takes it out and hits the gun with it for no readily apparent reason.

if you character hits the gun after reloading, it's a sing for your weapon to be degradet pretty much. meaning: it's jammed.
you can solve it by repairing the weapon.
its so fast it can do an infinite loop in thirty seconds!! =)
