Nope, Im Chrome, I only get pop ups on PlanetRenders because i have to allow the transparent image to come up.. I just get "The Dumb Test" over and over

There are a variety of addons for firefox that you can use to block pop-ups and advertisements. I use NoScript personally.

I haven't ever gotten a pop-up on Firefox. It might be because either my sister did something to stop them or my computer auto-blocks them like it does on Internet Explorer. But that's just me.
