I can only say that so far, I have found nothing all that exciting, or attractive about Europa Universales Rome. It is interesting but, I wonder if I even know how to play the thing. I've never tried this sort of game before, because I didn't think, being used to real time strategy and city builders, it would appeal to me. I was right. In fact I just don't understand the game at all. There are no battle scenes, live and it seems that about all I do is answer questions and respond to messages. Things might be a clearer to me if I read the manual but, who has time to sit and read a thick manual on how to play a game? I often fall asleep reading computer messages. Maybe it is just one of those games more suited to Europeans than Americans but, I find it difficult and hard to understand.

Well, I`m an european and I don`t like the game either.
Paradox is just beting on the wrong horse. They want money fast and without much risks. That is why they are not willing to create something completely new anymore, I guess.
That has been going on since Europa Universalis 2.
I think the founder Johann lost his initial vision, probably because of money. If they don`t change (always bringing the same game, just with a different mask), they`re doomed. Pity !
Life is either a bad or a good dream

It must really be great to do this. Just glad I'm not the one who has to do it. LOL.

I think you need to hang out on the official forums more...

Anyway thanks for the trainers folks, even if you hated making them.

I like the game a lot. But I can see how this doesn't attract all kinds of gamers - especially the ones who don't like to read. I always considered Paradox games to be a niche market. But they're definitely some of the best in that niche.

And thanks for the trainer btw.

well now... i like strategy games (all kinds) but this is very nice.... the europa universalis is a great grand strategy (meaning that you control provinces and armies as a whole... the emperor doesnt have to decide wether to build a public toilet or how many men in a platoon need to have a bazooka)... another example is hearts of iron.....
Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
