    very mature...

any way, its discussing the effect of gravity on the universe.

apparently earth is following what it thinks is a straight line, but in reality is a cylindrical orbit distorted by the waves of gravity given off.

As long as the world doesn't implode, explode, collide with another planet, or move towards/into/too far away the sun, then I couldn't care less.

what about a giant meteor, does that worry you?

    yeah shibby exactly... -_-

anyhow, this gravitational pull effects time as much as it does space which is why einstein suggested that we refer to the two of them not apart, but as one, hence forth spacetime, and gravity directly changes both of these.

well not so much as much as it does space but it the same way which is why you would sense no difference if you were in the disruption zone. but time and space around you would be compromised, or bent in some way.

there is one thing i dont get about space time. While watching that documentary you were talking about(if it was the same one), they said gravity is caused by bends in spacetime made by mass...they demonstrated this by holding out a cloth, placing a large weight in the middle...and then placing marbles on the cloth which rolled toward the weight in the middle.

now, this would explain everything accept for the fact that the marbles would not have rolled to the weight in the middle of the cloth without gravity...so how can that possibly explain the existence of gravity if gravity is needed for it to work.
