A few months back, I had posted a question asking if anyone else had had any success using the 1.09 trainer under Vista x64. I never got a response, so left the issue alone until now. I thought I'd ask again and see if anyone here now knows anything about it.
To recap, I can get the trainer working with no issues under Vista x86 and under XP, but have had no success loading it under Vista x64. While it loads up and detects the game, it refuses to recognize any keypresses made. I've attempted every combination of Compatibility Mode and Administrator Mode for both trainer and program possible (sixteen different combinations), and followed all of the hints in the troubleshooting guide, yet nothing changes.
Has anyone else attempted to run the 1.09 trainer under 64-bit Vista and succeeded?
· OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit; 64-bit versions of Windows Vista are not supported)
· CPU (Single Core): Intel P4 2.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 2000+ for Windows XP / Intel P4 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 2200+ for Windows Vista
· RAM: 512 MB for Windows XP / 1 GB for Windows Vista
· Disk Drive: 8X or faster DVD-ROM drive
· Hard Drive: 6 GB or more of free space
· Video: DirectX 9.0c, NVIDIA GeForce 4+ or ATI Radeon 8500+ for Windows XP / NVIDIA GeForce 6100+ or ATI Radeon 9500+ for Vista (Note: ATI Radeon 9200 and 9250 PCI, NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX cards not supported)
· Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Note: For Creative Sound Blaster Audigy cards running under Windows Vista, Intel P4 2.6 GHz CPU or equivalent, or multi-core CPU, required)
· Multiplayer: 2 to 8 players with optional voice support, network or Internet connection required (Cable, DSL, or faster connection)
Note: While you will be able to play Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars with the specifications above, play experience may improve if you have additional RAM above the requirement. Please refer to the section on Optimizing Graphical Performance in this ReadMe file for more information.
Those are requirements...if you don't match them you will be unable to play.
Are you using Windows Vista? Try running the game and trainer in compatibility mode. You can also try running the trainer as Administrator. Also, make sure you're using 32-bit mode and not 64-bit. Some newer trainers may work fine on Vista 32-bit and 64-bit without the need to run in compatibility mode. You will almost always have to run the trainer as Administrator however.
Some responses, and then forget I ever asked, as it's clear that I'm not getting useful answers on this.
tmh32293: I'll respond to you first, as you at least made an effort at answering politely. I already mentioned that I've tried Compatibility Mode and Administrator Mode. The game doesn't even run under native mode, and automatically switches to 32-bit mode without prompting (which pretty much all 32-bit apps do in Vista).
Ratchet_Expert: "Trainers do not work on 64-bit Vista"? Have you even tried using any? I've been pretty successful with the ones I've tried, with the only trainers that haven't worked being the ones for the original Dawn of War and the one for this game. This specific trainer might not work, but such a broad statement as you made is dead wrong.
LoopDaLoop: As for the game itself not being supported under Vista x64, the fact that I was asking about the trainer should have made it obvious that I could get the game running (how would I know the trainer was doing nothing, otherwise?). Updating the game anywhere past 1.01 allows it to run just fine, but the only limitation is that EA won't answer any questions about it. There are only about a few dozen threads on the EA fora about it and the workarounds.
I answered as i answer any question, without opinion just facts. Reason Me and LDL are so educated in this field. I would appreciate it if you would be nicer to me and my friends if you expect to get any help from us at all.
Now i ask. Is there anymore information. And this maybe a technical problem with your game and a few others since you claim it is on EA threads.

Yes, I have. So far, none of the trainers work 100%. Either the game crashes, the trainer crashes or most of the options do not work.
