Hellgate: London Message Board  

I went on the Tower of London quest to kill the big demon using the cannons mounted at various points around the tower. I must have shot at that big SOB for 30 minutes, running back and forth between the guns since they only shoot for 25-30 seconds plus killing those blue Fellbores the demon keeps spitting out and he STILL wasn't dying or showing any signs of getting weaker. Is there some secret to how to kill this thing?????

I finally got tired and bored and just quit. I'm playing single player since broadband doesn't exist out here in rural Kentucky and my satellite has a ping time of 850+ms.

Any help would be appreciated/

You have to use two of the guns to shrink him down. Go to one gun and hit him with it, then run to another one and hit him with that one also. The guns will fire at him automatically after you activate them. When two of the guns are hitting him he will begin to shrink, that is when you can kill him. It might take a few tries, but you will get the hang of it.

Thanks for the input, Drakonis. I've seen the demon shrink, but it seems that each time he does he deposits a swarm of Feldbeasts or whatever they are.....blue and easy to knock down, but I've hit him with 2 guns at once and he still just chugs along. I'll give it a try when 2 of the mounts are hitting him to start in with my trusty automatic rifle that does 247 damage and see if that will make any impact.

Try and ignore the blue feldbeasts, you only have a certain amount of time to kill it. It took me a few times to get him.

That's what I finally did...ignored the herd of Feldbeasts (cleaned the up later) and while the demon was down (so to speak) I hosed the heck out of it with my trusty automatic rifle that I've tricked out to hit at around 305. Took about 10 minutes and I found using my Engineer's Burst of Speed to get around to the turrets was really helpful......even had 3 of them shooting at once.

I think my big mistake was that I basically followed directions when it said on screen, down in the lower right to use the turrets. I took that to mean my personal weapons wouldn't do any good at all......WRONG!!!!!
