I don't understand why several users want so many stars. Just because you want stars doesn't mean you have to go crazy about it. Also, I think all this mumbo jumbo about the amount of posts per day is completely rediculous.
Let's look at it this way. There are several users who are extremely popular, extremely active, and yet hardly post at all. Let's look at Berserker, for example. Users love him because his walkthroughs truly help them in-game. Not only that, but the Feat. Author rank really causes people to envy him. He's been here longer than most of us. However, how many posts has he made? Less than 1000. Does he throw fits about it, or spam the crap out of boards? Nope. Perfect example.
Let's look at it this way; there's a bunch of users I can name right now who I really don't like. It's not because they're a bad person. It's because they post complete nonsense. It's none of you, but I really don't think you want to spend your time on this board, knowing that you're on the very edge of the boat.
To be totally honest, I am 100% on darkish_raven's side. Just because you're active, and post a lot, doesn't mean you're spamming. I read a lot of DR's posts; 90% of them have been more than just 5 words. I don't think I found any with just a smiley face, either. DR doesn't spam with random junk to get a bunch of stars. Those stars were given because DR earned it, not because of spam.
Unforgotten, yosup, fault2k, david747, koko_loko...just a few of the many users who I really like, but kind of need to slow down. Them, and anyone else in this position; take a good look at yourself, and tell me that you don't spam.
Unforgotten and yosup, not to pick on you, but I'll tell you exactly what you've been doing since I got here after two years of inactivity. Unforgotten, you were completely fine until you started posting a bit more than you needed to. You shot from 600 at the beginning of the year to almost 2000 at the end. I think that's too much, don't you think? Yosup, I didn't really know you until you came back from your inactivity. At the beginning, you only have about 745 posts. From then until now, you've posted almost 2000 times, most of them one post after another. You've recently passed Latiosmaster in posts, and you've been complaining about how you don't spam. Eh...you kinda are.
Now, think about this for awhile, rather than posting a bunch of nonsense that just formed in your head. I didn't spend 45 minutes thinking about what to type to get nonsense in return. Think about your actions, and how you can improve.
If you still need proof, take a good look at me. I've posted about 800 times since coming back from inactivity.
okay, i know i have almost nothing to do with this but i have slowed down with posting.
@ Latios: i know im not ammo and am politely saying that i have slowed down in post count.

Thanks Ryan, now I have a prime example to work with
See, you call in nonsense, but why?
If it was nonsense it wouldn't be a four page chat, would it?
If you were interested in what they were talking about, you wouldn't call it spam.
Heres a scenario:
A group of girls are all chatting away about whats their favourite lip gloss and when they use it. If bunch of guys hear that they'll think its all nonsense simply because it doesn't interest them.
Translate that to AMMO and we have the same thing happening. (just not with guys and girls)
And as a side note, you weren't here for the majority of the time that DR worked his way up to 9000 posts, so I dont think you can accurately judge on the quality in this case (unless you went through and read every single one).
I never said I wasn't interested in what AMMO is talking about.
Also, what do you think I did BEFORE I posted? I wouldn't have said that about DR if I didn't do a bit of research. I looked through about the most recent 50 pages of DR's posts.

Refer to the scenario.
One mans spam is another mans solid conversation, its all about perception.
50 pages is a small sample, and more recently he hasn't posted as much as before.
