Also. For those of you who use XP cheat to get to high levels really quickly but don't have the gear. The mini-game drops gear dependent upon your level. Best way to pummel through the minigame fast is to get a weapon with a large amount of modification slots and fill it up with elemental based damages, then go hunting in lower level dungeons. It will take awhile and there are some annoying combinations. (like getting 25 critical hits as a guardian, ugh) But if you get a lucky streak, your new character can gather great gear from the start, rather than waiting until late in the game. Again, its all luck based and maybe one day the trainer designers will give us a function to fill all requirements of the minigame? Hopefully!
Edit: For those of you who're not aware of the minigame; those three icons next to your power orb. A great guide to them can be found at gamespot which explains everything else.
Please note that the requirements do not appear in a specific order. You can have any combination of requirements in any order left-to-right (they don't have to be satisfied in order), such as three loot-types, or three damage-types, or three creature-types. You never know.
I've tried this a few times to get some better gear in game. 1. go to 1st station 2. get Timmy's leg quest "A Leg Up" 3. kill all the monsters/boss monster in 'Tottenham Court Road' the KEY here is to NOT search the boss monster's body(there will be a yellow "?" on it, but dont search it). 4. the boss monster will drop some VERY GOOD/Rare items
now the troublesome part :P.... 5. after taking the boss items, be sure to EXIT game to reset the Quest. by doing so, you can kill the same boss over and over for XP(legit way) and the cool items. now only if there was a quick way to expand my bank....
I've been trying this in single player for hours and it won't repeat the boss loot. Only the first time.
Try to abandon the quest, then go get the quest again. They may have made a change in the most recent patch. If the patch changes it, try uninstalling and then a re-install without patching. I'm not sure running this quest over and over again is worth that much effort though.
after last patch they fixed the boss exploits so maybe that's why you can't do that anymore. as for reinstall the game without patching, if you have bad luck sometimes exiting the game wont save your character properly. I leveled one of my new char to lvl 10 and next time i log back in he's back to level 2 with no gears on him, just money.

you have to exit game to reset the quest. i recommend kill all enemies on level, then exit to main menu. then when you reload, the quest is also reset.

Well the real issue is that you have now spent hours trying to get a few level 2-4 items and could be level 8 or 10 by now. Skip along after a couple runs on the same named boss. Rare and legendary unnamed spawn randomly in dungeons so clear a dungeon, exit and re-clear the same dungeon for different loot.
