to edit anything in program files with vista os just turn off the user control. it lets you edit text files and save them back in the same directory you opened it from.

i just can't find a ring of luck

I have a few questions i'd like to ask.

I tried editing the file "MergedCompetences.xmd" and after editing it, is it normal that when I am playing on Mortal, the best items are Orange colored texted ones?

And when I am playing on Hero, the best items are Dark Green in text?

I modified the file where by N0=100.0 etc till N6=100.0 for Monster_Rarete in MergedCompetences.xmd.

Secondly, I decided to do the EXP cheat on the Characs.xmd to gain level till 200. (Wanted the highest level items.)

But are the items difficulty level locked? As I still get only Dark Green or Orange colored items.

I replace the modified MergedCompetences.xmd with the original one and now I get to pick up Dark Blue, Light Blue, and white items that are at Level 200. I modified a ring to provide me with 10000000% chance of finding powerful items. But to no avail.

Is there anyway for me to gain Divine items at Hero difficulty level?
