Would you rather have an electric starter or fire starter? Explain!

I would rather an electric starter. It would be a huge challenge, rivalling the challenge of Pokemon Yellow with Pikachu as your starter, mainly because the first gym leader has Rock/Ground pokemon, which are completely immune to Electric attacks. You'd have to raise a strong team of at least 3 pokemon to get past the first stage in the game. Pokemon games are getting easier and it's taking the fun out of them when you win 99% of the time. So bring on electric starters!
Electric, because I would have less trouble in Gyms, though both would have a hard time in few Gyms such as Rock, Electric type Gyms. also Electric pokemon are only week to Ground type moves however Fire pokemon are week to Water, Ground and Rock.
