Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion - Shivering Isles Message Board  

Just a glitch... heh, this game is full of them, that's what makes it truly great... I've moved on from this game though, so you'll have to get help from one of the other nice members here. or you can wait for a week and i'll get it for you.

I have the same problem Shadow of myself just don't appear when i enter the cave with tree and obelisk. I've tried everything: touching the obelisk and tree, jupming around the obelisk to make sure that I'm close enaugh, and the shadow still don't show up! I already have the eye of Ciintra. When I enter i don't have information like "ive entered the grove of reflection" or something. I'm a vampire by the way In addiction my console doesn't giving me any items just giving me some kind of strange error info. It don't work only with items, i can still open chests, kill enemies etc. by using the console.
Help!

So you've tried the quest codes for this quest?

What does the error say?

All I can advise is the use of the SetStage command in the console, since this appears to be the best way to bypass bugs and glitches.

Open the console and type:

Player.SetStage SE11 150


That command will give you this journal entry:

"I've arrived in the Grove of Reflection. According to Dyus, I must locate the Tree of Shades and find a way to reveal my true self before I will be allowed to take one of its branches."

Other than that I can't really be of much help with this right now.

Yes, I tried quest codes, It gave me a journal entry, but shadow of myself still don't appear. I also tried to reistall all entire Oblivion and Shivering Isles itself, but that did't help neither. It looks like some kind of internal bug of Shivering Isles. I think, that all I need is a item code for branch, so I can type the SetStage command, which give me a journal entry right after gathering this branch:

Player.SetStage SE11 160

I can't see another way out. I was looking for that item code on google, elders crolls sites etc., but there is nothing there...

And about this errors from typing items codes at console: it turned out, that I simply forgot to type the number of items at the end of codes

It's been a while since I last played this game but I think this is the item code you want: 0001363E.

That code should give you the Screaming Branch. But I can't remember whether Shivering Isles item codes are the same for everyone though, so it's luck if it works.

This code is correct and everything is OK now. It did't gave me a immediate journal entry though, but I used SetStage command.
