Using TSearch, I managed to find two values that look to be how much money you have... the addresses always seem to change between loads but when I freeze both values, I can buy as much as I want and max out boost research without it affecting my treasury...

I’m sure that I am not the first to find this, but I thought it would be nice to have it up here…

But all you need to do is do two searches every time you load or start a game. One for your starting balance, then another after you put a little money into boost research or something… it should only come up with two possible addresses… the values are going to be 4 bytes… just freeze them both and buy all the dreadnoughts you want… Hope this helps someone =^.^=

    Boosting research works?

Whenever I do it, it returns my research to Zero.

Then again, I'm using ArtMoney. Interesting... I'll have to try it with TSearch.

That’s part of the game, and one that im trying to get around too... you see, the more you boost the research, the more likely it is that SOMETHING will blow up... next time you are doing it, check your history, it will tell you that there was an accident on one of your planet, X number of people dead, X stuff destroyed... so far, I made a really basic and crappy trainer that will keep the game from charging you for ships and boosting research, but im almost positive that the computer gets the same benefits... I still have a lot to learn about making these things... and tips are more than welcome

That might be why the research turns red as you funnel more money into boosting.

Finding the value for money doesn't take long, so the only thing I'm really looking for now is probably something in the savegame that makes all techs researchable, and not just random.

heh, if you have any good ideas on how to do that, feel free to share...

As far as my little bit of work goes, I am sure that the AI gets all the benefits I do, and in the case of free ships, uses them to excess...
