As far as game adaptations of movies go, there have been a variety of good, bad and ugly versions. This however is one of the best ever. The graphics are solid and convincing; controls are easy to master and let you focus on the real challenge of keeping people on your side. It is a sequel to the movie and as such opens many areas the movie didn’t venture into. The story is also really well thought out and contributes to the game’s success greatly. The design of everything is identical to the film and even John Carpenter makes an appearance in the game as a skeptical scientist. The great action, great story and design result in an overall great effort to bring The Thing to gamers’ fingertips.
