Following the path to the shrieking shack I find two switches. One does not work (or flip) and I cannot get to the other one. Can someone please help me?

yep i can help although this message was posted last year! when coming up to a switch in the area with all the water on the way to the shreiking shack press a and the swich will move across stopping the flow of some water leading to a doorway. Also another step arises that hermiony can freeze to make a pathway. This game irritates the hell out of me!! hope it has helped someone! x
