Would be nice we an editor for metal shards

what would be the purpose. You can craft, build, etc. without them. Is there someplace you need them that the trainer doesn't allow you to craft or build without them?

The only place ive had an issue with shards is during the Arena challenges, the shard amount there isnt affected by the easy crafting option, and theres been a few times ive run out of shards and been unable to take another challenge.

Otherwise easy crafting has been working for any other situation.

trainer update with shards will be posted soon

The update works fine so far, at the first look - but I encountered the same problem I've already mentioned:
Changing the amount of shards is only visual. I gave myself 50,000 shards (I had 2,000 before), but I could only buy items for 2,000 shards. In the buy/sell menu in the top right corner, the amount says 50,000 and gets reduced by the amount I buy, but the amount shown in parentheses still shows the old amount. After purchasing items worth the 2k I had before, I receive the message "you don't have enough shards for that."

I tried many things like changing the amount, saving, reloading - or changing the amount, saving, restarting the game - or changing the amount, selling an item before buying - but the same thing happens.

Even worse, after saving and loading the save file (in any of the mentioned tries), the amount of shards is reset to the old amount before I used the editor, or is even reduced to 0.

Any clues? Do I do something wrong? I even tried it with an own made table - and a table from someone else - same problem. Any ideas what this is about?

having the same issue, and i'd rather not use "free crafting" because it gives everything...i want to make it easier, but not stupidly easy to buy/upgrade items..

I've tried hacking shards on my own, but there's some sort of memory protection.. i usually end up with 4 addresses, all 4byte value, if i edit them, i instantly have 0 shards, even if i change the edited value back....

also, on CoSMOS, is there a way to make the "normal" version of cosmos appear when i click the button? (not the "beginner" version....)

It doesn't give you everything as max inventory does, that's permanent. When you turn of free crafting, it goes back to what you got before using it, it's only temporary.

nevermind it anyway, i found a solution... just sell something after you set the new shards value to get it to stick

my point was, regardless of whether the materials were permanent or not, i didnt want to have "free" crafting (essentially)... I still wanted to hunt the machines to get the parts, jsut not for shards...

Using cheat with exclusive screen freezes the game with black screen. With just fullscreen it works fine.

PRO TIP!!! DO NOT USE the MAX Inventory Items cheat!

It will break your quests that are connected to the number of items you can buy in return for delivering other items. Some can be fixed by selling the items from your inventory IF the person who gave you the quest has an unlimited number of items as a reward, BUT if not then you are fracked. For example, the Black Box quest is now fracked for me because I can't change them for rewards anymore.

This does not work for me when i sell something it still stays at the original shards value + the amount i got from selling an item.

works here with my saves and so trainer is working as intended with my own testing and since it works here repeatedly, then I have nothing more to add since I have nothing or no way to "reproduce your issue"

It seems the displayed shards and where the game stores the actual shards number is different; when I edit the number of metal shards, it shows up with the new number up top in the menu, but when I go to buy items, it doesn't reflect this, even though the new number is reflected in the sell items number.

If I buy or sell items, it changes the number displayed in the top of the menu, but that number doesn't extend to buying things, and when I reload a save, it reverts to the buying number, not keep the new number.
