Is it possible to run Aurora on Linux somehow, perhaps using Lutris and Wine emulation? (Fedora Workstation 39)
Mainly interested in the Sony games on PC:
God of War, Uncharted, Days Gone, Returnal

I can get them all to run using Lutris, so I'm not looking for a native Linux version of Aurora, which I understand is not planned for. If the games themselves are intended for .exe and Windows, yet they run on Linux using Lutris, I am wondering if the same is true for Aurora .exe to run on Lutris and work with these titles?

I read about users running Aurora with our steamdeck tool on Linux. But this is for games which are running in proton, not native linux games.

Hmmm, still new to Linux gaming and learning the ropes here.

If I run a Windows game in Lutris using Wine does that mean it's using proton? Would I need a Steam Deck to get it working or could it also run in Fedora?

I dont know what Lutris is. My Linux experience is limited to some Ubuntu and recently Steamdeck. If you run a windows game from Steam somehow on Linux its always using Wine. And Proton is a customized version of Wine. The Steamdeck is running Linux and its just a "portable computer".

I dont know how you run a game on your end. But on Steamdeck for example you just download it. Then right click on it in Steam library -> properties -> compatibility tool and then you select a Proton version. Now you press the play button and it just works.

Our SD tool installs itself as a compatibility tool. The steps remain the same but now it automatically launches Aurora along with the game. I suggest you watch the install video Link to see how it works.

Like I said I read about users using this tool on their desktop computer. They were using ArchLinux. I still cannot guarantee that it will work with Fedora or anything else.

Thank you. Any reason this costs $10 USD? I was under the impression with Tier 7 it included everything.

Tier 7 is membership and the Steam Deck tool is something we added for our users
