Have you been following all steps I did in the video (for installation using proton 8 etc) ?

I think I did I'm fixing to re try it now, like I said it was probably something on my part I forgot to do I get back with you on a update

Hello Sir,

I done the installation, looked endless videos on YouTube.

Still cant get it to work, as soon i start the game i load the game and then i cant use the steam Button so i Can use the Trainer.

I tryed this steam deck installation, and the original one through steam tinker and none og Them works for me.


Do you have any idea what i might do wrong?

1. Enable steam deck developer mode
2. See if it works in desktop mode
3. Try running game in windowed or borderless mode
4. See if its just this game that doesnt work or all games (it really depends on the game)

So I have a question. After I launch a game in with the tool, the game starts and the steam deck tool opens. However Aurora doesn’t actually start or have an option to switch to it. Have anyone else ran into this?

It doesn't launch Aurora when your Steamdeck is offline (makes sense as Aurora doesn't work when youre offline). If that is NOT the case then, as I replied in the other locked thread, please check the log of the Aurora launcher. There is a "Log" tab on it you can switch to. It probably tells you why Aurora isn't launched.

Oki so after a lot of testing i've come to following realizations.

1. Start steamdeck in "Game Mode" or "Big Picture"
2. go to game properties and ensure it launches with "Aurora"
3. hold power button down for few secs, to go to Desktop mode
4. Launch game now, and once you do go to settings you need game to be in windows mode
5. click on taskbar and switch to aurora, do any settings you desire
6. go back to the game and enjoy the cheats

Looking at this, I think next step needs to be more about automation and eliminate above steps. What I personally think would be cool is that if we could properly connect Aurora to our mobile devices (yes i know its currently possible, but it doesn't work 100 % of the time)

it would be great if following option were possible, at least that's my biggest "cheat happens pls"
1. Enter Game Mode / Big Picture
2. Launch Game via Aurora
3. Access trainer Via Mobile Device
= Done

but in the end, current system works. So i wish to thank everyone who has been part of this project.
