keep the good work, as form me a software Developer i understand what you are going through and hope that it can some how be easier for you and for the Training makers Team.

Your work here at Cheat Happens, along with everyone else here, has been nothing short of amazing. I've been astonished over the years at the amount of garbage you have to put up with, and chief on the list is this constant patching on incomplete games sold to us guinea pigs as complete. It's a trash system that the public are willing to put up with, so the gaming companies take advantage of this. It's truly one of the pet peeves of gaming.

You do need more people that use your trainers to understand things better though, so I'm glad you spelled things out for them. It has always bothered me to see people get irritated with you because they either are not reading directions, or because some patch messed up a trainer function. We need to take a calming breath and realize that you have a LOT on your plate with all the trainers that you are continuing to manage and update, and the gaming industry release nonsense just makes it all the more difficult.

Anyway, I for one totally understand your perspective on this, and any irritation I feel goes straight to the gaming companies, never to you guys who I feel quite frankly perform miracles. It's why I became a Lifetime member many years ago, and why when the opportunity came with Aurora I upped it to Lifetime Plus.

So, to me at least your work has and always will be, appreciated, and I totally get the frustrations of doing this kind of work. And it is, as you pointed out so well in your post, a lot of work. Constantly. So many thanks to you and the rest here at Cheat Happens for hanging in there and providing the rest of us with some top notch products.

I absolutely realize how much work it can be. I have been playing around in games since ArtMoney was still a thing and I've done enough training and mod making to know that the worst part about doing this stuff is that there's never any time left to actually play the games you're working on. It's just no fun most of the time and people often make unreasonable demands in blissful ignorance.

I'm also in IT DevOps, so I spend half my day writing code and the other half managing other people's code.

So I get it, and I've always placed myself in the coder's shoes before asking for any updates or additions. I consider the complexity of the request and if I believe it is even possible to do.

That said, for the past few years I've been feeling like I'm walking around on egg-shells, Like one wrong sneeze in the wrong direction gets me banned or punished permanently. I'm not kidding when I say I'm literally afraid to write this post.

And yet, I feel I have to try after I saw what happened to Icarus. One of those patch-a-week games. I did everything I could to find a compromise which worked for everybody. First I suggested updating the trainer once every 5 weeks, a suggestion you took. Then I suggested limiting the trainer to only the core features which no mod or savegame edit could accomplish. I even went so far as to basically jump on and gracefully insult anybody complaining.

So when somebody posted a complaint about a missing option I was pointlessly shouting at my screen, calling them names for not realizing how fragile the life of that trainer was. I immediately responded in the vain hope that you would feel better knowing I was policing the thread.

And then, shortly after... trainer retired. Nothing we could do, after one insert-not-so-nice-word-here showed zero social calibration. It's that feeling of being helpless, powerless, that makes me sad.

You want more trainer-makers, then train us (wordplay intended). I already told you I'd be happy to keep at least that game updated for as long as I was playing it. Yes, it's another investment of your time, but it might just pay off. And it frustrates me to no end that nobody has yet made a Udemy course for trainer-making.

Anyways, egg-shells or not, I trust you'll read this with all the good intentions in which it was written. I really do wish you all the best.

The allegedly GOTY Baldur's Gate 3 keeps getting patches- which just breaks more things lol. Good thing I rarely play new triple A games.

Thanks for the heartfelt message. I can feel every part of what you wrote. Your team at CH has made my gaming experience so incredible that it beggars description! I'm glad that you are putting your thoughts out there so we, the CH patrons, can see what it is like behind the scenes and get a better understanding of what it is really like for all of you.

What is amazing to me is that people always complain about "bad service" and never give kudos where they are earned. Complainers make the most noise (the squeaky wheel gets the oil) and then give little credit where credit is due. I, for one, want to condone all of you at CH for a job well done! Keep up the good work! There are a lot of us out here that are more grateful than the complainers. We just need to speak up.

Even though you all are very busy, I hope you get the time to read the positive comments here. I have been a CH lifetime member for MANY years, recently upgraded to tier 7, bought my oldest his own lifetime subscription, and am always referring your work to my friends when we talk about gaming. Unfortunately, some happen to be too accustomed to instant gratification and forget that most good things take time. But one thing to remember, and I often remind myself of this, is not to let the ones who are complaining rent space in our heads. They are the few, and I feel confident that most of us are happy to wait for trainers to be fixed/patched/updated or even created from scratch. Hopefully more can express our gratitude for your hard work! When people ask me why I "cheat" at games, I tell them that it is because I don't have a ton of time to game and your trainers provide me the opportunity to game the way I want to and experience the story. To me, that is so valuable! So, with all that being said, I have appreciated (for MANY years) all that you guys do, and I will continue to do so until the day I expire because I chose to be a lifetime member. And I will patiently wait for trainers to work after patching, or to be created, as most of us are happy to do with a smile on my face and lots of thanks that these trainers even exist!
