Hey guys, it's no secret that I am a big fan of the AYA NEO series of devices. If you don't know, they are handheld devices VERY similar to the Steam Deck, but they run Windows instead of LINUX/SteamOS so it's compatible with AURORA, Epic, Gamepass, GOG, Steam, etc.

They just announced the AYA NEO AIR! This is an OLED 5.5 inch screen device that runs 1080P! I got one of the most recent AYA NEO NEXT Pro devices and LOVE IT. I sold my Steam Deck on eBay the day after I got it. Anyways, these things typically sell out fast so if you want one, you might wanna jump on it.

Looks nice and all. But am not a hand held device bear. I certainly heard of them.

That is true, you are basically buying a small PC. My bet is that Valve is losing a decent amount of money on each Steam Deck they sell, knowing they will likely make up for it in game purchases. Seems like all of the consoles (PS5, Xbox, etc) lose money on the hardware end so make up for it in accessories and games. The Aya Neo doesn't have that luxury since it just runs Windows 11 out of the box and you can install whatever you want on it. They don't get any kickbacks so they have to make their money in the hardware.

Yup that is correct, they adopted it from the printers business model.
