Hi, i am currently on a monthly subscription using Aurora and it is working fine.

However i recently tried to use an older trainer for "Drakensang: The River of Time" which only exists as a stand alone version and when i try to start it, it complains about needing an internet connection and that i am not connected to the internet. I am clearly connected to the internet though. I guess the address it wants to connect to is no longer in service? In any case there is also the option for an offline key, but this i can only use with lifetime plus membership, which is significantly more expensive and on top of that i found people having unresolved problems with getting the offline keys to work under Windows 10 (which i am on). So i am very reluctant to pay a lot of money to get an old trainer working and not being even sure if it will work.

Is there any other way to get old trainers to work?

The old trainers still function fine, there are no addresses that are "out of service". The offline keys for the standalone trainers are still available for YEARLY users and above. If you are getting this message then something on your PC is blocking the connection. Likely security software, firewall, etc.

I just downloaded the latest 1.1 trainer for Steam (first trainer) and it runs perfectly fine on Windows 11. PWizard is correct the issue must be on your end.

I am running a standard Windows 10 Home Install Version 21H2 with no additional Antivirus or Firewall Software or anything like that. So if it's blocked it has to be blocked by Windows itself.

I tried disabling the MS Defender Firewall and the Realtime Antivirus Protection, but it still says i have no internet connection. Do you have any ideas what more i could try?

You could book a TeamViewer session so that we can try to troubleshoot it directly on your PC. Just open a support ticket.

Ok, i tried the Trainer on a different machine and it works. The only difference i can see between both is that the other one is running Windows 10 Home and the one where i have the problems is running Windows 10 Pro.

I now manipulated the character stats on the other machine and use the savegame on my main gaming pc. So no further help is needed at this point. But good to know i can do a teamviewer session.
