I tried launching in Admin and without Admin, rebooting system, rebooting my router, and nothing works. When starting Aurora, it tries to update, then fails, and closes. It wont even let me start without updating. The program just will not start at all.

I deleted the log file, and tried running it again so it would create a new log file, and I've included the text from that log so maybe you can tell me why it's not starting and if there's any fix. I've also attached a copy of the log file incase you prefer to see the text file itself instead.

    Log File:

12:30 PM: Failed to download update because of System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception.
---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: Authentication failed because the remote party sent a TLS alert: 'AccessDenied'.

Any suggestions what I should do?

Which security product(s) do you use?

Which security product(s) do you use?

On my gaming PC, the only "security" programs I have installed is the Security Suite that is offered by Charter. I'm not 100% positive which virus scanner/shield they use, but it doesn't really matter since I keep it turned off. It does not start up when I start up my gaming system, I only ever start it if I need to quickly check something else online. I also use Express VPN, I have that installed on all my devices. And like the security suite, I do not start that up on my Gaming rig unless I need to.

So none of my 'security" is running on my gaming system.

Have you tried manually downloading 1.2.2 and extracting into a new folder and then running it?

Even if this works it probably fails on next update again. From which version are you updating? 1.2.1 ?

Yes, I was trying to update from 1.2.1 to this newest version. And I also suspect the next update may do the same. But, for your previous suggestion, it worked. I just deleted the "Aurora" folder from Program files, manually downloaded 1.2.2 and named the new folder Aurora Mk2. It started up and is running fine.

Can't believe I never thought of simply trying a manual dl. Old dog and new tricks I suppose...

But, any way, it works, thanks for the help. If it happens next update, it probably suggests an issue on my end somewhere, but I'll remember the simple solution of a manual update. Thanks again for the assist.

Likely it is an issue with your PC or ISP not properly allowing access to our new download server URL of cheathappensdownloads.com. We have seen this type of behavior before and it usually ends up being DNS software, caching software, privacy software, etc.
