Unable to update automatically to the latest version, 1.2.1 as of today. Forced to re-download from forum link.

Background:

Windows 11, latest updates, no firewall active, no active anti-virus, no third-party software funny business of any kind.

Tried switching to CloudFare DNS in hopes it was something caused by my ISP, got same result.

Feel like it's not something on my end, as I have zero issue with Steam/UPlay/GOG/Epic Games or Battle.net, but will keep an open mind.

Also, for what it's worth, I had no issue with the previous auto-update of Aurora *1.x->1.2*

I have the error
access to the path
"C:\Users\Hamis\Downloads\Compressed\aurora\audio\a new trainer update is available.mp3" is denied.
I don't have any competence knowing what this means or what to do about it, but Aurora no longer runs.

Removal and reinstall seems to have worked

User A: We are using a different download server for this auto-update than past ones. Something on your PC is blocking that new URL, likely your security, AV or privacy software or browser extension. The software has been auto-updated by tens of thousands of other users so far without complaint. This leads me to believe the issue is on your end and not ours.

User B: I'm glad you got it working.

That's a protected directory.

Try running Aurora As Administrator in future.

If you're referring to me as, User A - Then no. As stated I have no third-party AV or Security/privacy software. Windows defender is disabled as well.

I do used Edge chromium, with UBlock Origin and Privacy Badger extensions. However fun fact, I have an entertainment/programming machine at work with the exact same setup and Aurora auto-update worked fine.

Personal opinion, if you rely on people to disable browser extensions to have a functional app, there's something wrong on YOUR end. *IF* that's even the issue.

At a bare minimum in case of update errors it would be nice to be presented a URL to manually download the said update.

Before you get all ****y and defensive, it's just one man's opinion. I do love Aurora, it is a huge time saver.

I also have Edge + uBlock and that's definitely not the issue. The version 1.2.0 uses a different server for download. We switched the download server. I believe it's a redirection issue but I don't know why this happens only for you. That's something we need to figure out here

I am happy to schedule you for a TeamViewer session where I will both find and fix the problem on YOUR end if you would like. If your PC doesn't like our new download server's domain name then that is not OUR issue.

I wish that was an option. I genuinely want to know where the problem is, snark not intended.

However, I'm at work and have already manually updated.
