Feedback, Complaints or Problems

Hello,
I would like to submit for your consideration, a new prize item that could be added to the monthly Prize Wheel feature.

1. Explanation.
Recently, Steam has expanded its pool of digital items begging to be collected with the introduction of a new "points" system which implemented a Points Store containing such items as icons, backgrounds, chat effects, etc that Users may purchase with points they accrue from buying games and/or user-to-user trading and awards.

2. The "1st-World Problem."
Many of the items offered in the new Points Store are very desirable and are as expensive as they are coveted by those who collect such things. However, on the opposite side of that coin are the people who have little-to-no interest in points, but they have hundreds-of-thousands if not millions of points because of their other purchases and activities.

One of the uses of Steam points is that Users can give "awards" to other Users, for things like helpful posts, pretty screenshots, or even directly on their profile, and the recipient of the award gets a few points which they can then use as their own. A specific award titled "Take My Points" is often used by those with stockpiles of unwanted / unneeded points to pass them along to other Users who actually want them.

3. Proposal / Idea.
As I type this, I currently have more than 220,000 Steam points. I give awards to people in my Activity Feed and I'm constantly dumping them on my kids, and still my total points has never dropped below 75,000 since the day the feature was implemented. Based on my own history, (please, please forgive this massive assumption) I imagine Cheat Happens must have millions of unused points due to buying nearly every new game, and like many of us, nothing to do with them. So why not add a new Prize Slot to the monthly Prize Wheel: Take Our Steam Points!

4. How-To & Restriction.
Giving someone an award does not require having that person on your Friends / Contacts list, however you can only give a specific award to a specific person's profile, once. For example, I have given my daughter the "Heartwarming" award on her profile, so the system will not allow me to give her another Heartwarming unless I put it on one of her screenshots, artworks, or community posts.

So for the CH Prize Wheel, the slot could (maybe) specify a predetermined number of points the Winner would receive, and the choice of having them dumped to a particular screenshot or artwork (provided that the items do not violate CH's standards) or directly to their profile.

Lastly, due to the freedom of not needing to be on the Contact List to give awards, the Cheat Happens community can give points & awards to the Cheat Happens account, assuming (sorry again) such an account exists.
