I'm on Windows 10, and I've tried clearing my temp folder and work folder which I've seen discussed elsewhere on here to try and fix my issue.

Whenever I open the application I get the cheat happens logo but it just never actually opens and runs. Every other CH program works, just not Underrail for some reason.

I'm trying to use the steam version, btw. Any help would be appreciated.

install both

Have all of the following installed.

.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x64 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x64 Link
.NET Framework (get latest) Link

(Both x86 and x64 of the .Net Core MUST be installed)

Reboot PC when done.

I've downloaded the items from both links but it doesn't seem to have changed anything, Underrail still does not open.

I just downloaded the latest trainer on my Windows 10 machine and it worked with no problem so something on your PC must be blocking it. I would completely disable all AV, firewall and other security software, right click run as admin on trainer and maybe check the Windows Event Viewer for more info on the crash.

I can't believe anyone is still recommending this as a solution. This is more than likely not the person's first ever cheat happens trainer. Obviously they have been using these trainers and would therefore already have NET CORE. More than likely, everyone has it without even knowing. I was given this stupid idea as a solution to this exact problem. After trying to download it, it stated I already had it, which is what I thought, because I would have needed it for the 100's of previous trainers I was using with no problems.

I feel you bro. Just won't work. Hundreds of other Cheat Happens trainers work fine. This one and a few others just refuse to work. I've done everything with this trainer to allow it to work and it just won't. All my CH trainer are run as admin. I scanned it and it didn't have any issues. I allowed it specifically through defender and anti virus, even though there was no concerns over any "viruses". Oh, and I have the most recent version of NET CORE!

I just downloaded the underrail trainer and it opened perfectly fine.
Not having the Net Requirements is the #1 reason for trainers not opening.
you expect us to know what every user has installed on their computer. thats not how it works.
If the trainer doesn't open then either one of the Net requirements is not installed or not correctly installed. Or you are not running the trainer as Admin.
you should also make sure that your windows is up to date and after updating make sure to restart the computer before trying the trainer again,

if that still doesn't work you can try to purge the files and start fresh. Link
