Tried to play Plague Inc with the trainer I downloaded using the trainer manager, which saves all my trainers in the same folder. I've added the folder to my anti virus's exception thing and up until now I have not had any trouble with my trainers.

Plague Inc, however, gives me this error.

04:41:00: Plague Inc: Evolved, 1.17.2 (STEAM)
    04:41:11: Successfully attached to PlagueIncEvolved

I cannot get the trainer to work. I even tried to add the file mentioned to the exception list and that did not help. Any time I re-download the trainer my AV quarantines this file.

I meant the Plague Inc trainer gives the error, not the game.

Completely disable all AV, firewall and other security software. Right click run as admin on trainer. See if that allows it to run.

That worked but is there a way to make it work without keeping them disabled?

You'll have to discuss that with your AV vendor.

Try making a folder on your Desktop or in your Downloads folder for Trainer downloads and make an exclusion / exception for the folder in your antivirus. That's what I do and I just suggested that to another member having the same problem and it's working fine for him. Then do the same for a folder where you run the trainers from.

If necessary, exclude the trainer exe file itself. See if that helps, it works for me with ESET.

I did it in my Documents folder (Made a folder for my CheatHappens trainer manager and added it to the exclusions) and all my trainers are saved there. I had an issue with a trainer before and this is what solved it. I even checked my exceptions to make sure the folder was still listed there. I honestly don't know why this is happening, it seems to me like the antivirus program is ignoring the exception or something. I think PWizard is right and it's something to do with the AV.
