So I've been reading the parent company of Denuvo, Irdeto is now working on an Anti-cheat for games.

While I am all for this for MP games but I feel it'll be used in Single player games and ruin the play value for us. Even making it harder for Cheat happen to make trainers.
From years ago, I could look in a magazine or call a 900 number to get hints/cheats, to now cheats are becoming non-existent.

What do people think? Will they use it just for MP or will they also use it on single player games?

Denuvo adds another reason to not buy games that make use of their technology...

Even if not the intended outcome it will almost certainly affect singleplayer because tools like this are never used like a scalpel but like a bazooka...that fires 20 lb sledgehammers.
