I have an opportunity to preorder a game on steam for $40 or epic for 24. But I don't want to do it

I have an opportunity to preorder a game on steam for $40 or epic for 24. But I don't want to do it if steam version will def get a trainer but the epic version may or may not. Are epic games releases always getting trainers. Or are they usually like versions between the 2 anyway?

Depending how popular the game is and if Epic is releasing it before Steam.

Lately Steam where releasing games a year after Epic did.

Moreover, the versions on both platforms are usually the same.
