I have an issue with starting any trainer. I download the trainer, open the file, extract everything, can read the "read me" text, set all permissions appropriately, all windows defender stuff down and anti-virus, run as administrator, and I try to open the file and nothing. Trying to run the application literally does nothing. I try to run the application and nothing comes up. This happens for all trainers I try to run and I'm not sure why.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Maybe some more info on which trainers you have these issues with would be helpful.

Any Space Hulk game, I even tried terraria, Morheim, city of the damned, State of decay: year one edition, Mount and Blade:Warband, The Binding of Isaaic: Rebirth with DLC, I've tried a variety of things to see if the games were the issue and it seems they are not.

Did this just start happening, or was this always the case?

Then we come to the next step:

What Windows OS edition, version and build # and security software do you use?

This started happening awhile ago, like a couple months ago, and I decided to try and see if any trainers would work now that it's been awhile and it seems I am still having the same problem. :/

I use Windows 10 and no security software. I deleted all security software and windows defender off to try and run the trainers and still nothing :/

Once in a while I get the same issue, the 2 things to remedy it that I know of are to delete all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work

and be sure CONTROLLED FOLDER ACCESS in defender is turned off.

Reboot the PC and try again.



Trainers still need to be in a folder excluded from AV scans also, you will find that underneath the controlled folder access setting to add one.
