Chrome having problem with downloads on General Discussions Message Board - Page 1

🙂 Hi guys! So recently I have been having a lot of trouble downloading trainers. Inside the file was only a readme! Tried multiple times, until... I switched from Google Chrome to Firefox and BAM, trainer appears normally with its readme. 🐶 Worked with Microsoft Edge so i realized it had to do with Chrome 🤔 , not sure why. I do not have any anti-virus protecting my computer, so I just imagined it could be some sort of problem on my chrome's end here...
Any whay, just wanted to give this a heads-up. If someone also has this problem, try switching the browser.

they put an AV scanner in chrome wich detects and stops alot from downloading, even stuff you know to be safe. You just have to turn it off.

in the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings.
Under "Privacy," uncheck the box "Protect you and your device from dangerous sites"

turn back on after trainer DL if you want to continue using it to scan on other sites.

I use the latest version of Chrome and can download zip files from the site with no problem even with that setting turned on. So it could be some kind of extension of your AV software installed within Chrome. I also figured with 100k+ downloads per DAY and the huge Chrome userbase, there would be more than 1 person complaining about it.

never had any issues with chrome here, all downloads go through normally, glad its fixed tho
