Feedback, Complaints or Problems

Recently (past month or two, possibly more?) the naming of download trainers has changed to be much more "wordy"... is the word?

I'm wondering if the site maintainer(s) would be open to adding an option to give the user a choice between the traditional naming and the current verbose names?

Not that it's the biggest issue out there. To me it's a pain, I appreciated the short concise first few letters representing the game name followed by your account name.

I'm not trying to say woe-is-me, but now updating trainers has become a dance of deleting and renaming files.

I'm old school, I like maintaining things myself, and am not keen on the idea of using a launcher. I have enough launchers pinned to my start menu...

Sorry, but we do not plan to make this change or an option. Regardless of the launcher and if you use it or not has nothing to do with the trainers or their naming convention. Name the trainers anything you want after downloading them. If you use the launcher you will see that it doesn't matter what you name them, it will still show the same data for them. The previous trainers had 3 letters and your username. There were trainers that used the same three letters which could end up overwriting any of them. In our logs it was impossible to tell what trainer you were downloading without looking up every one with that prefix, etc.

Fair enough, like I said it's not the end of the world. I won't stomp my feet and pout about it, I just don't like change. Doesn't mean I agree or that you have to agree.

I'll probably begrudgingly take a look at the launcher. I hope it at least closes itself upon launch of the chosen trainer. My disdane stems from seeing all the background processes and 'helper' services that come with most launchers such as Steam, Origin and GOG.

I don't mean to sound like an ungrateful pill. I really do appreciate what the team at cheathappens does, and because of that after years of ignoring lifetime plus membership emails I caved in and signed up. There are so many games throughout the years that I've been able to buy, finish and get my money's worth.
