Is there a particular reason why, with all of the many trainers I use, when I click on the game's logo - the click for support option - or the CH banner/logo, the trainer insists on opening the web page with Internet Explorer, rather than my default Firefox browser ?

Whilst a minor problem under normal circumstances, IE will not allow me to download any trainers, it always fails with a "long running script" error. This is not the only issue I have with IE, many of the sites I visit don't work properly with IE, but are fine with Firefox, including CH.

It's IE11 running on a Win 10 desktop and I refuse to use that god awful Edge.

I'm assuming using IE is hard coded into the trainer. Any chance this can be fixed for future trainers ?

Internet Explorer (or more technically speaking, the Trident engine) is more than just a browser. It is an API. One that is used within the trainers that cannot be used without. The reason the trainers are opening in IE is because it utilizes that engine to execute opening with the target="_blank" or an open new window command with JavaScript (executed with the Trident Engine).

Since neither Google nor Mozilla publish this kind of API, your request is not possible and is unlikely feasible regardless. The source to their engines is open sourced though so if you want to dive into the code and see if you can build some custom solution or a compatibility layer then you are free to do so (Cheat Happens will not be doing this though).
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Thanks for explanation, but hacking Trident's code - not going there

Guess I'll just have to live with copying and pasting url's into Firefox to get the downloads to work.
