Minor rant. This game is so full of filler nonesense, however, the mozaic tiles are something I'd like to see completed; at least one!

I have scoured the lands, every nook and cranny, but hell if I am able to complete even one tile combo. I have several missing only one tile, which I might add is VERY frustrating.

The best mod that could be made for this game? A detailed mapping system. Having to spend Inquisition points on a better map is annoying enough, not unlike spending points to carry more crap around. Alas, I've yet to find them all and this is my 3rd play-through.

Has anyone completed a set? And if so, any tips? These things are hidden far too obscure!

    Forgive the rant, please.

    Regards
    Liso

    I understand your frustration.

If you already know this, I'm sorry for the repeat, but just in case you weren't aware ... the mosaic in the Hinterlands - The Fall - can't be completed at the moment because one of the pieces is glitched inside a stone wall.

For a long time two were missing. The 11th has been found, though it's a little tricky to reach and requires a mount. It's in Dead Ram Grove, near the elven ruin in the cave where you find one of the runes. There's a veil light at the entrance. Jump up on the rocks right there on your right as you exit. You need to make a leap sharply to the right onto the rocks; if you're not great at jumping like me, it may take several attempts. Then summon your horse and ride up the slope on your right, a very short slope. Stop and get off before the ceiling of the elven ruin, which is in front of you. The mosaic piece is right there.

The 12th piece has been found in the Wolf Den, glitched inside a wall, but cannot be reached. We just have to wait for a patch that fixes it ... it has been reported to EA/Bioware.

As far as I know the others can be completed, but I haven't got quite that far yet. The one character I had that had gotten most of the way through was deleted.

Keep an eye on the Dragon Age wiki. They're starting to put up nice maps (e.g. one of the Western Approach maps is 1.1mb, 1,913 × 2,653 pixels at it's full resolution) of the areas. I've only checked the western approach one for the mosaic pieces so far and it has them all marked.

Honestly, the wiki is the first place I check if I have a quest question.

This is one of my favorite little things of the game, and both the bane of my existence. The one in the Hinterlands can't be completed, the one in the Western Approach can be impossible to complete if you leave the area after fighting the Dragon WITHOUT picking one of the pieces up, which that fight unlocks.

And also for some reason they didn't bother to put something in the map like 'here was a mosaic piece' so if your memory fails you like me you have to go to back to every, single, one, and since there's all sorts of bugs with them at the moment its possible you didn't find it, but its not there anyway.

210 hours over 1.5 playthroughs and I have never seen one completed and I doubt I will.

Well that explains why I've now got 11/12 for Hinterlands twice now. Good to know and hopefully they do something about it and... whatever may have happened to other tiles.

I've actually completed one mosaic, but it was one of the later maps which aren't so complex.

You can actually get the Western Approach one if you leave the area where you fought the dragon.

Little secret. If you go with a warrior and grappling chain the rock, it will break it open and you can go get the piece.

I dont even think I have completed any. Also after reading about not being able to finish one if you leave the area. Not cool!

    LOOK EVERYWHERE!

People just want things handed to them these days in games..

One reason why The Secret World didn't do well is because it required thinking and looking up stuff... and people just gave up :P

Same in DA:I people don't want to spend time looking everywhere.

God help them with future DLC that open up more areas lol
