Mass Effect Trainer 1.02 Not working on Mass Effect 2 PC Message Board - Page 3

I need help I have the trainer and I set it in the mass effect 2 folder. I have to load with origin.

For those with legal EA/Origin Digital Deluxe and DLC - Without a new trainer, here is the simple solution....

Essentially, swap file names around...

Suggest copying all EXE/PAR files (should be 4 + config.EXE) into an archive so you don't have to reinstall later if something goes wrong. Then follow below options.

Simple solution - ORIGIN - Working with the Steam/D2D 1.02 version, all DLC included.
Rename MassEffect.EXE/PAR to ME2.EXE/PAR - Rename ME2Game.EXE/PAR MassEffect2.EXE/PAR - Launch with MassEffect.EXE - should work for those with the ME2Game.EXE issues on ORIGIN.
I have tested all of the trainer functions - unlimited fuel/health/squad health/easy hack/unlimited ammo all working.

I'll say this again as in the other thread, what Sylvrwynd posted DOES work on all versions of windows and with or without any DLC installed. Follow instructions EXACTLY and it should be easy as pie.

Also I have the controller mod installed as well as various other mods and never had an issue getting it to run, this is on the trilogy and the standalone versions on origin.

Version: 1.02
DLCs: all installed
Error: "Trainer could not find game" - regardless of whether it was executed as administrator or not.

Unfortunately the solution, mentioned above, doesn't work with this version. I renamed all files as suggested; i only get the error code:
Missing DLL (msvcp80.dll) - Error 0x7E

Hopefully you guys can update the trainer. Thank you for your great work! 🙂

Just tested on the standalone version, which was around before the bundle came out, and the origin bundle version of the game.

Trainer works in both versions, follow the instructions at the top of this page exactly, trainer works all options work.

If anyone here at CH doesn't want this video on the site and takes it down I understand please remove it if thats the case.

Hm, that's weird. 🤔
I could swear that I have done the absolute same thing yesterday - over three times.
Now it works just fine - no error message at launch, after renaming the files. Mea culpa - sorry and thanks for the instructions.

I tried this and I get an error message. Anyone know what I did wrong?

Invalid License Reason Code=Missing DLL:{MSVCP80.dll} error 0x7E 😢 Is the problem that ME2 file folder is not in my origin game folder?

Turns out it was because it wasn't in Origins files even though it changed the startup like it was so I uninstalled and reinstalled on Origin. So this time when I did the renaming it worked. Thanks Sylvrwynd I can now play the game again. I have to use the trainer cause I'm bad at aiming and die quickly if I don't have infinite health. You saved me a lot of money and time also since I would have had to buy it on Steam and the dlcs cost more than the game on there. 😀
