I tried what you did but it didn't work for me. It just started off in the beginning. Just to be clear, I put the class3.1.ulsave file into the local folder. then from there set it to read only and tried to load it, hit continue and it just went straight to the beginning. If you have any advice or clues as to how I could get this to work it would be appreciated. Thanks!

To clarify, the "local" folder is below:
(On Windows 7 - 64bit)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(#)\241540\local"
** (#) is a unique number, tied to your user account **
Although,
I'm not entirely sure if the save files are even compatible any more, at least with the current (released) version.
If I'm not mistaken, the save files were uploaded to CheatHappens before the game officially released, while the game was still listed on Steam as an "Early Access" game.
