I'd mod the files myself if the manager would show the all tables, but for some reason even 3.0.1 doesn't do it for me, so I'm using a squalor reduction mod from TWC. It doesn't completely kill it, but makes it more manageable without going nuts with squalor reduction buildings.

Same guy made a food reduction mod, where buildings use less food. So far it works fine for me, even with the trainer.

EDIT: I've never used "squalor" so often in just so few sentences.

Hey thank you so much for this.

I looked around hopelessly for someoen to edit the files but noone was doing it.

I got the idea to do the editing myself and try and edit the construction building bonuses and penalities such as food.

BUT because I didn't know I had to turn off read only it didn't work.

Your method works great. It really makes a huge difference in the game and i dont feel like i'm cheating horribly so much as bypassing the games friken horrible public order problems that I never saw in previous total wars to this degree.

I was going to post in the total war center forums about pack editing but since I learned the trick correctly here and I pay to be here I didn't want to step on any toes.

Once again thank you for this. I dont like using a trainer that will give me 99999999 dollars

Can someone post a link to where I can obtain this "Pack File Manager"? The TWCenter seems to be down.

Any good tutorial videos on it?

it wont save my changes. says "can only save in MOD or non CA movie something, with current settings"

Yes.

Never edit the original .pack files. The moment a new patch come alongs - boom - your pack files will be updated. Use File -> My Mods -> New to create a new pack file.
