To help you improve the trainer, the crash after the trainer somehow changed the file "Rome2.dll" in my game folder. Had to check the game for errors via Steam and it reloaded this file, as the old one was too small (only about 256kb instead of 27.085kb).

    Maybe this helps.

    lol.. no it didn't

almost all steam games will delete and reload certain files after crashes and etc.

thanks for the info but our trainer isn't writing to the .dll's on the disk. actually it's impossible to do that anyway while the game is running. windows wont let you..

    best,
    Cal

Don't know if you're being retarded or you actually thought the answer was helpful. Even if I choose to research one option, quit and start over.. it has researched more than the option that I choose. WITHOUT the trainer.. I'm not that technotarded.

the trainer sets the amount of days for the research icon you selected to a high value so that it unlocks immediately upon the next turn. that's all it does.

it writes to a SINGLE ADDRESS in memory when you press the key.

so when you save the game, you are saving the value of hex 999 for the number of turns passed for the particular research item.

when you start the game over with no trainer attached.. there is nothing for a anti-cheat to detect. so the game loads your savegame with the values changed from 0 to 999 hex as the number of turns that whichever research items you selected to manipulate.

if you go to next turn and the game crashes.. how can it be from the trainer? the only assumption then is that the game doesn't like that you have multiple research items set for 999 turns.

I didn't program total war rome 2. their coding logic or anything in place to deal with research items unlocking multiple of them at a time or unlocking early isn't known by me.

the point is, that the trainer 'being activated' is no longer the culprit for your crash since it isn't on the second time you are ending turns.

and if you watch my video, neither is setting a research item to a high value, since I did it and it didn't crash..

so here we are. I can do it here with no crashes, but apparently you do it there even with the trainer NOT ON when you end turns and it does crash..

the answer you gave me was helpful in that it confirms there is not going to be some simple easy explanation for this game crashing, which is why I posted all the links and showed a video of it working fine.

Ok everyone listen up, Iv got a solution It may seems silly but it works finally for me.
1.Delete all ur current save games ALL of them
    2.verify integrity of game cache.
    3.it might download a 11.4mb thingy for Rome 2
4.start ur game and start ur trailer as admin.
5.press F1 and only use only gold and unlimited movements. i think those two r all u actually need.

I know for sure that its the game and not the trainer.

I used the trainer in the first turn to get money, make 3 big army's through fast recruitment, build what i need and expand my city's to the max.

I save my game, alt-tab to close trainer and do end turn.
Next turn i dont use the trainer (didnt reload it) and the game still gives me 1 turn construction and 0 turn recruitment.

I save my game and press the end turn button. Get the next turn and i still have the 1 turn construction and the 0 turn recruitment. I do my stuffs and press end turn again. When i reach the letter M, my game crashes. Also the last 2 turn i got a black screen every 10 secs our so. I needed to alt-tab to desktop and go back into the game again.

So again i know for sure that its the game and some anti cheat thingy that is ****ing up our ability to play the game and not the trainer.

My PC is 4 days old, i bought a new gaming PC speccially for this game. So i know its not my PC having problems.

So for all your ****s who are complaining about the trainer not working, asking for refunds our giving CAL and Pwiz a hard time. GO **** YOURSELFS!!!!!! and go complaint with STEAM and CA

The trainer works fine, everything it is intended to do, does everything. I have not tried out the Super one yet or anything like that but the 1 turn and Gold as well as the super movement work just fine. My game does occasionally crash at the End Turn phase. But I think it is a STEAM error because when the game closes out it just says "STEAM is already running this app", so I think that STEAM is trying to run the game again or something, not sure. But that is the only thing I can think of. Other than that, I think if you leave the "Unlimited Movement" on it will crash at End Turn, I did that by accident once. Other than that it is a great trainer!

its the game engine. two total war games in a row this happened.

I noticed that if you keep the trainer options ON at end of turn the game will crash. I'm also sure the Shogun 2 engine which Rome II uses also had the same issues with crashing after turns with the trainer activated.

I played 40 turns last night with the trainer turning off all the options before I end turn or enter into battle and stopped crashing. Any campaign I started and left options on prior to ending turn or entering into battle caused a CTD.

My only request is if CH can add a turn all options off key so It was easier than pressing the keys over again and to make sure the options are off. Anyway thanks again another awesome job.
