Beating a dead horse here, but might as well repeat what everyone else is saying - turn off all the options (now super easy with that lovely F7 switch Cal was so kind to provide) before every battle and every end of turn and the game should not crash. If it does, then it's most likely not related to the trainer. I spent nearly 6 hours playing tonight and it didn't crash even once (now that I've said it, just watch - it'll start bombing every 5 minutes, damn it).

I think it's safe to say that it's the combination of Rome II with a trainer (not specifically the CH trainer, not sure if there are any other at the moment) can cause stability issues on certain computers.

The Creative Assembly have admitted that certain pieces of hardware have poor support for the game (even some of the newer GPUs such as the Geforce GTX 780 etc).

The game itself is rather unstable at this point. I've personally never had any issues with Shogun 2, but with Rome 2 my game tends to crash after using the trainer. Not always, just sometimes it does.

Wait for some updates (the first coming next friday if I'm correct) to the game and I dare say there will be more stability for the people using the trainers.

Fist off, I know my reply won't contribute much to this topic. However, reading through the first set of quite aggressive/unthankful posts, it compelled me to say my piece.

Regarding R2TW the game, as well as the trainer, they both work like charms. No crashes what so ever, noet even when I sometimes forget to turn off the; one turn construction, unlimited movement etc. before end turn (go figure).

I have been using CH trainers now for pretty much every pc game I've played since 2010 with the greatest satisfaction. And yes, when I am looking for a trainer for a game that has been out for a while, it's sometimes hard to find the right one (if you are missing updates and patches and what not). But in the end, I'm always able to find the right trainer, even if it sometimes means to wait a little bit longer for a new one to be released.

I really don't get the anger, when you know these guys here are working hard on their trainers for OUR convenience. If there are a lot of people that say that the trainer works, then obviously it's NOT just about the trainer. Hardware, operating software, game, all these things might cause your game to crash.
I understand that must be a disappointment, but it's wrong to lash out on the people that are actually taking the time to make these trainers. If you lost money on it, then it's even more important to just stay patient. You've mentioned your problem, and people are looking into it.

Myself, I've already got my money's worth here a hundred times over.

I know this was not a solution or nothing, but I had to post it.

Keep up the excellent work guys!

    A question:

My game is crashing when I click end turn and the factions cycle through to the Seleucids. No problems with the previous couple of factions having their turns, but as soon as it gets to the Seleucids, the game crashes. I have the most up to date trainer and I deactivate all the options with the f7 key before the end of the turn, but it still crashes. I'm playing as the Romans, and when I play without the trainer it doesn't crash. Anybody know why the Seleucids are causing me to crash?

    Thanks.

Scratch that, they just updated the game....

The information you provided is effectively useless and in no way helps us help you. If you want assistance, provide useful information like: Game version, trainer version, which options do/don't work, and send a savegame to Caliber if the issue is reproducible. Try using an option, saving, exiting trainer and game, reloading save, and trying again. Try multiple options. Try reading the 12 pages of help before this one.

If you love their trainers, get the unlimited membership! It is absolutely worth it.

Try turning off fast research, fast construction, fast units and stuff like that BEFORE you end turn and that might help... Yes its tedious, but the alternative is crashing or no trainer at all.
