Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Message Board  

Now in my hunting over my channel to check a link of a rant response to a twit who *****ed about not getting to somewhere within five or ten minutes if I remember right.

Well anyways. In a hunt over his annoying crap on his channel, I found a vid of him telling/complaining to Beth over the phone that people who use the Script Extender (skse file) To get more to the mods is wrong and should be stopped.... Am like wtf this helps more to the game. Why on earth would you want to kill the modding side??? He thinks he is all high and mighty but he is not he is an annoying pain in the troll.

Basicly the dosh bag was telling Bethesda to do something about people using the skse (Skyrim Script Extender) As he feels it breaks the law as illegally accessing the game, instead of using the games launcher. If so then the LAA which was used for the people who had more ram than the game could use, before it got put into the game should be punished to. As that was a modified way of accessing the game but gave more better usage for players with more ram. Sorry but TX3000 is totally wrong in my books on this as it is giving more room for the modders to expand on their mods. Because if Bethesda did that then I can say that 80% to 90% of the mod users would be punished then. I don't think so. This ain't piracy this is making the game better! Quit trying to screw that up.

This can be done by anyone without any outside application by running Skyrim with TESV.exe instead of SkyrimLauncher.exe (assuming playing on Windows).
SKSE also forces you to run it with Steam, and have the latest version, so it likely won't run on a pirated version of TESV anyway.

Ok I just tried to start Skyrim there via just the TESV.exe file and it wants to open steam. So does the skse.

Personally I do not care if my game needs steam to start or not. As long as it works and if something like the Script extender came out of my other games that use mods I would get it. Cause it improves on what the mods can use.

I just do not get why this dosh thinks cheathappensders or mod users should be punished. Its mental.

Bethesda has been very aware of its modding community for years. It's one of the few studios/publishers to fully support it, for example the G.E.C.K. Not to mention they have gone so far as to implement mod maker ideas into future games & dlc. I am sure they are also fully aware of one of the biggest extensions to its game, and are either accepting or indifferent to it, otherwise they would be handing cease and desist letters out the wazoo. So whomever this guy is, is completely wasting his time, and I would not be surprised if he was just a good old troll.

i think it will end up with him getting ignored. the more he keeps doing this the more likely it is they will stop answering his calls.
skse works just fine with a bootleg version, i have tried it and it worked without steam. (and no i do NOT condone anyone to bootleg it and neither will i post any info of where to find such a version)
