My friend emailed me his awesome save as Axton, but after trying many things, i can't get it to work. I have a Mac. The save file was Save0321.sav, so I copied a previous save, went on my computer and made a folder called BLUS30982-PPROFILE-SAVE0321 and inside i copied the four files that weren't the save data into this folder from my real save then put the actual save in instead of my original one. I went back on my ps3 and the original save was fine but the other one was corrupt. How do i get my friend's save into my game?

I think you have to convert it if you want to switch to another platform. There's usually programs that can convert your saves like in Borderlands 1, Willowtree was used to convert Xbox saves to PC I believe.
