I try to open Euro Truck Simulator 2 trainer for 1.3.1 and when i do it brings up the "How do you want to open this file (.tmp) thing.

I am running Windows 8, but the trainer is listed as compatible. I also checked in control panel windows features and .NET framework 3.5 is checked. How do I fix this?

Don't hang me on it but try right click then check for compatible(something) sorry my setup aint in english but french. But it should work.

You need to run the initialization program as administrator (Right Click > Run as Administrator). You will encounter this issues if you attempt to run the program as a standard user.

I'm having the same issues. Standard trainers are working properly. But for the trainers that need to be "Run as Admin" I'm having trouble with. Even running as admin, I'm still getting the "how do you want to open" problem. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Windows 10.

Ok, I had the exact issue your talking about, and come to find out that my computer's security was stopping it. As soon as I got if the approve access through all three sections of my security it was able to use it. So reason my security really don't like the anything from here. First I had to stop it from deleting it on the spot, then stop it from preventing me to click on it, then grant access to the file that it runs while running. 🤔 It was a real pain at first, but now it works fine. Sadly it is the same process for every single file from cheat happens.
